Wildquack Duck River Festival
Location: Jackson Village Park
Date: Sunday, May 29, 2011
Time: 7:00am - all day
This outdoor action packed day in the park brings singles, families, strangers, businesses and guests all together to forget about lifes trials and tribulations if only for a few short hours. Let's get together and laugh out loud as we watch more than 3,500 yellow rubber ducks make their way to the finish line. You'll find the kid in you again.

Crowds start to gather for the day at 7 AM when the ticket and memorabilia sales start. Pick out just the right spot near the "Duck Stage" where you'll hear our M/C's Rob & Andrew Clark (a celebrated Father and Son Team) entertain you with light hearted bantering, jokes and they'll announce the winners of this year's great prizes.

There are so many things happening through the entire day you will want to pick up an event day program found at any of our Sales/Information Tables identified by colorful Wildquack Duck flags. Downloadable Event Day Programs will be available on this page after May 10th. As we get closer to the event day we will have more detailed information available. Alton Weagle Day - Saturday, May 28

In the spirit of the man dubbed "Mr. Mt. Washington," Alton Weagle, the Mt. Washington Auto Road is hosting a celebration of firsts as part of the 150th Anniversary Season.

Weagle holds more firsts up Mt. Washington than any other person, including walking up the Auto Road barefoot, backwards and pushing a wheelbarrow loaded with a 100-pound bag of sugar. In his spirit, several other first ascents are planned including a woman attempting the climb on a unicycle, a woman on roller skis, a man being pushed in a telephone booth and a man who intends to drive his car entirely in reverse.

Additionally, the first 300 visitors who drive themselves up the Auto Road that day will receive a pair of Groucho Marx glasses to join in the fun.

Other activities and a ceremony honoring Alton Weagle are also planned. For more information about Alton Weagle Day, visit the Mt. Washington Auto Road website.

The Mt. Washington Auto Road is now open daily, weather permitting, for guided tours and for private vehicles. For more information about operations or the special events for our 150th Anniversary, visit our website or call 603.466.3988.
