A Cure for the Heat

Wow, it’s hot … even here in the mountains!  Fortunately we also have the cure: rivers, waterfalls and water sports!!  Jackson Falls is Nature’s water park … totally free, naturally gorgeous! But there are dozens of waterfalls in the area, some with pools perfect for swimming, and we can steer you in the right direction. If you want something more adventurous, why not consider Great Glen Trails Outfitters to help you have a splash of a good time?! They have just what you need to spend a day on the water. They offer full and half day paddling trips designed to introduce you to the rivers and lakes of northern New Hampshire. Even if you have never been in a kayak before, they’ll have you exploring on your own by the end of their trip. These trips are known for their moose, eagle and osprey sightings.  Whether it's a leisurely flatwater trip on the Androscoggin River below Gorham or a pulse pounding whitewater experience on the Androscoggin River in Errol, trained instructors will treat you to a great day on the water.
