Ted DeMille & Bobby St. Pierre
Bennett & Perkins This Mt. Washington Valley based folk duo offers a startling array of original songs with powerful lyrics and melodies, coupled with exceptionally strong vocals and guitar playing. Thom Perkins' guitar work has been compared to Richard Thompson and Bruce Cockburn - you'll swear he has more than 10 fingers once you hear him play. Kathy Bennett has "a voice that can crack sheet rock" with vocals likened to Lucinda Williams, Bonnie Raitt and Emmy Lou Harris all rolled into one. Together, they're a powerhouse of folk sure to resonate on both a physical and emotional level.Just off their summer New England tour, the duo released their second CD last year. Produced by New England musical phenom Tom Dean and entitled "House on Fire, the album is a powerful collection of original songs and a natural continuation of their music from their first CD "The Kitchen Music Sessions" (2010). Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door and they may be purchased at the Theatre in the Wood box office at 41 Observatory Way in Intervale, NH (
