Mount Washington Observatory Summit Adventure: Implications of Global Climate Change

Mount Washington Observatory Summit Adventure: Implications of Global Climate Change

January 8, 9
Mount Washington Observatory Summit Adventures offer the exclusive opportunity to experience Mount Washington in winter without a technical mountaineering ascent. Travel to and from the summit is made possible by snow tractor transportation, and cozy overnight accommodations are provided at the summit weather station. The educational value of the visit is enhanced by expert instruction in a variety of subjects, ranging from mountain photography to meteorology, climate change to cooking.

On this trip, instructor Michelle Day (scientist at the University of New Hampshire) will help increase your awareness of global climate change including evidence of past alterations in our planet's climate, possible causes of climate change today, and how past changes can help us understand the implications of climate change on our future.     603-356-2137
